Background

I did my DPhil (PhD) in Engineering Science (Control and Aeronautics) in October 2016, as a member of Control Group in the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford, UK. I was supported by a Clarendon Scholarship and the Sloane-Robinson Scholarship. Prior to joining the SySOS group at Oxford, I was with the Mechanical Engineering Department at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA, funded by the Engineering Graduate Fellowship. My previous research activities pertained to system identification, variable structure control, and nonlinear estimation (specifically, Sequential Monte Carlo methods), robust control, and hybrid systems (in particular, switched systems). My DPhil research, supervised by Prof. Antonis Papachristodoulou and Dr. Giorgio Valmorbida, was on developing scalable tools for the analysis and control of complex systems modeled by stochastic and partial differential equations. In this respect, I applied these tools to tackle problems in fluid mechanics, biological systems and quantitative finance.
